The Big Bad Purple Wolf

Hey, how Is it going?  Hope you having a blast weekend ( cause I am).  I got down to watch infinity war again and I still got goosebumps, still amazing. Every hero entrance was spectacular (except  hawk eye,cause he was not there).  Am not here to give you lecture on what you already know, am here to give you lecture on what you might not know but think you know, you know. Today will be all about our purple friend or villain (trying to be neutral)  Thanos.  I'm gonna tell the story of Thanos , so get tuck in, dim the lights and keep reading your bedtime story or daytime story (depending on the current location of the moon and the sun).

Thanos is a Marvel fictional character that was developed and published by Marvel comic writer-artist Jim Starlin. The character first appeared in The Invincible Iron Man #55 which was in February 1973. Ever since then, the character has become a huge success to Marvel comics ranking number 47 on IGN's top 100 comic book villains of all time, 22nd on Wizard's Top 100 Greatest Villains list, and number 21 on Complex's 25 Greatest Comic Book Villains List. The popularity of the character expanded in July 2018, thanks to the Reddit forum "ThanosDidNothingWrong" which was dedicated to sharing theories and memes about the character. which also led to the anticipated biggest banning  in Reddit's history. The number of subscribers had risen from 100,000 users in June, to over 700,000 on July 9, leading to over 350,000 users being banned. 

 Enough of about his realistic powers of banning people. Let's dive into his childhood( the root of every adult problem).  Thanos  was born on Saturn 's moon Titan as the son of Eternal Mentor, A'Lars,  and Sui-San. His brother is Eros of Titan, also known as Starfox. Thanos carries the Deviants gene, and as such, shares the physical appearance of the Eternals' cousin race. At birth, his mother was shocked by his appearance and attempted to kill him, due to believing that her son would annihilate all life in the universe, but was stopped by A'Lars, Thanos' father( And we figured out the root of Thanos problem). During his school years, Thanos was a pacifist and would only play with his brother Eros (Starfox). By adolescence, Thanos had become fascinated with Nihilism  and death, worshiping and eventually falling in love with the physical embodiment of death, Mistress Death. As an adult, Thanos augmented his physical strength and powers through his superior scientific knowledge. He also attempted to create a new life for himself by siring many children. He finds no fulfillment in either until he is visited again by Mistress Death, for whom he murders his offspring for( true love). Rumour has it that the destruction of his Titan race by nuclear bombardment was so that he could impress mistress death. Everything he did was so that he could meet death. Funny thing was when the time came for him, his plan was ruined by a younger version of himself that came from the past by altering the timeline. King Thanos (as he was known in the future )  confused, asked death what was happening as he was fading into nothingness , she replied" he won " indicating that the younger version of himself had done something to eradicate the future him(talk about being your own destruction). 

To be honest, the powers and abilities of Thanos is to much  to write or say, so am just gonna copy and paste from Wikipedia 

Thanos is a mutant member of the race of superhumans known as the Titania  Eternals. The character possesses abilities common to the Eternals, but amplified to a higher degree through a combination of his mutant–Eternal heritage, bionic amplification, mysticism, and power bestowed by the abstract entity, Death. Demonstrating enormous superhuman strength, speed, stamina, immortality and invulnerability among other qualities, Thanos can absorb and project vast quantities of cosmic energy, and is capable of telekinesis and telepathy. He can manipulate matter and live indefinitely without food, air or water, cannot die of old age, is immune to all terrestrial diseases, and has high resistance to psychic assaults. Thanos is also an accomplished hand-to-hand combatant, having been trained in the art of war on Titan. Thanos has proven himself capable of briefly holding his own in battle against Odin and of blasting Galaticus off his feet. Thanos is a super genius in virtually all known fields of advanced science and has created technology far exceeding that which is found on contemporary Earth. He often employs a transportation chair capable of space flight, force field projection, projection, teleportation , time travel , and movement through alternate universe . Thanos is also a master strategist and uses several space vessels, at least three under the name "Sanctuary", as a base of operations.

All what am saying is Thanos is a kick a** character, even though he was created through the inspiration of viewing Darkseid. He is still awesome and one of Marvel's greatest villain. I just see Thanos as big baby that wants something he knows he can never get. But then again aren't we all chasing something we know we can never get,not because we are not worthy or capable of having it but because it's not ours to have in the first place.
